Ard-bhàillidh Johenna Monteith is the middle child of the three Monteith sisters and one of the two jointly ruling the town. An attractive and charismatic young elf both, she is known to have several suitors seeking her hand, though she has turned down all of them. She is more or less the "face" of the rulership to the village and its larger jurisdiction, and usually the one arbitrating disputes, though she sometimes disappears from the public eye for unsaid reasons. It's usually assumed she's working on another magical work or the manor - she is known to be a skilled enchantress. Among the small criminal element, it is fear of her magic that often keeps people from going too far over the line.[1.9]
Background
Like her sisters, Johenna was brought up in relative safety and security - the same curse that made the locals wary of the Manor, made bandits and other aggressors wary of Monteith in general. She lived without work in the noble house of her parents, and had a fairly charmed, uneventful childhood - at least until her teenage years.[1.10]
Physical Description
A typical specimen of elf-hood in most respects, Johenna is a 5-foot-2 elven woman of slight build, neon-green eyes, and purple-ish straight hair of about hip length. The unnatural colour of hair and eyes comes from exposure to the Manor's magic - and those originally-sapphire-blue eyes and blonde hair slowly return to their natural colourations when she's away from the Manor for long enough (a few days at the least). She has an ample bust and is fairly athletic, and bears a clear, unblemished complexion of milky-white. Like other Teither elves, Johanna possesses quite noteworthy, long-pointed ears. Johenna typically wears a revealing v-neck dress with a short skirt, and knee-high boots, rather out of place in the otherwise traditional village, but something of a flaunting of her financial and magical wealth, not to mention emphasizing her attractiveness - she is hardly a woman naïve to, or about, her physical appeal.[1.11]
Personality
Johenna is a sometimes mercurial woman these days, though her mood stabilizes when she's away from the Manor for extended times. However, despite some moodiness, one constant through-line is a child-like curiosity, and it is one that often draws her to empathize with others quite well, in turn making her quite an apt diplomat when needs be. She is known to have a mean streak that manifests when Monteith, or one of her sisters are threatened however - it could at best be described as protective, but Johenna is given to some true cruelty when it means protecting her sisters or Monteith.[1.12]
History
Ever the follower of her sister, when Malissia beckoned her to join her in the Monteith Manor, she happily followed. She has been there ever since, and as such that leaves much of her history shadowed. As a child, however, she was known as a bit of a shit-disturber and rapscallion, but never ever a malicious one - more a mischievous one.[1.13]
