Teith is a micro-domain comprising of a single village called Monteith (meaning "on the river Teith") and a surrounding forestal countryside, named for the aforementioned river that cleaves it in two.[1][1.1]
It is nominally ruled by a pair of sisters: Johenna and Malissia. They arbitrate this rule from their manor the village surrounds, though they hold meetings out of a town hall in the village. Most, though not all of the village, are servants, providing food, tools, weapons, and repair to Monteith, and importing their increasingly obscure, arcane fancies. The manor itself is believed to be cursed, often filled with hordes of small imp creatures, and it's believed the pair seek for some means or another to end this.[1.2]
Histories tell of the mansion having been left abandoned for generations, and the village been peacefully ruled by the Monteith family. The purpose of the village was to be a watchpost for dragon incursions in the larger country they were part of - though the name was lost to time. Unlike many domains, the people of Teith are aware of it being displaced into the Mists - though they believe that their village was ripped to some other world, rather than the darker truth of the matter, because of the latest generation of Monteith's having insisted on breaching the manor. The populace remains compliant however - they are not unfair rulers and the general belief is that it was the foolishness of youth, not a malicious intent.[1.3]
Having only appeared recently, Teith has yet to truly establish itself in the international scene, but in certain circles it has already become known as the source of some considerable magical artifacts. Those that approach the manor will find it is warded with extremely powerful magical wards, as well.[1.4]
