Donskoy's Island or Donskoy's domain is a island in the Sea of Terror[1][1.1], which itself has no formal name, but is given name by the namesake of the one settlement: Donskoy's Keep, the residence of Lord Milos Donskoy. Although it has a wilderness area at least several miles across, the main location of note is Donskoy's keep, a mostly decayed fort controlled by both the domain's ruler, the aforementioned Lord Milos Donskoy. The keep reflects a state present in much of the domain: things (or at least, things owned by Donskoy) seem to become afflicted by rotting quickly. This also extends to Donskoy's minions and associates, who seem to experience a gradual degeneration. Even the ruler's own mind seems affected.[2]

Lord Donskoy spends a ridiculous amount on timber and stone shipped by sea, believing that the island is afflicted, and keeping other staples they need coming in by boat. The source of this wealth in gold is unknown, as there is no publicly-mined gold, and the source of rampant speculation and rumour from those that ply its trade.[1.2]
There is something of a burgeoning trade in recruitment for settlers among the seas, though most sailors are superstitious and distrustful of settling in the place.
