The Blue Boar Inn is the lone inn in the Barovian village of Renika. In truth it predates the formal village, having been a waystation inn for hunters in the surrounding forests for years prior to its founding. Indeed, its said to be one of the oldest Inns in Barovia, if not the oldest. It gets its name from the greatest trophy of the hunts of its original founder, or so it's said, a boar that was, literally, blue. Since it was not preserved, it's left to the interpretation of the newer generation how true or not it is. Regardless, while small, it is a high quality inn with comfortable beds, lavish funishings, and even frequent live music in the tavern portion.[1]
It is currently run by aging local man Rocco Botezatu, and his wife, Petra Botezatu.[1]
