Officers - from highest to lowest in authority[1]
- Kapten ("Captain") - a rare award - by tradition only 5 captains can serve at one time, in keeping with Ezran sacred numerology.
- Leitnant - ("Lieutenant") - the highest most noble officers can ever strive, but still a rare award.
- Nooremleitnant - ("Partial Lieutenant") - Most noble officers end up here if they decide to remain within the force. Only a single commoner nooremleitnant has existed in the forces' history - one whom went all the way to Kapten.
- Lipnik - ("Officer") - The lowest officer and thus most common. Particularly-promising commoners whom achieve the enlisted rank of Nooremseerant are sometimes offered a slight "demotion" of sorts, in being offered a commission as Lipnik. It is the highest any commoner can realistically hope to achieve, and the social mobility to which the ambitious strive.
Enlisted Soldiers - from highest to lowest in authority[1]
- Seerant - ("Veteran Soldier") - awarded very rarely to enlisted persons whom perform high service to the City-State. A Seerant is below a Leitnant officer, but has authority above a Nooremleitnant, in authority.
- Nooremseerant - (literally, "Partial Veteran Soldier"- an experienced soldier) - uncommon but not rare - often a rank given to high-performing commoners whom remain in service, or those outsiders whom truly do serve well and achieve. A Nooremseerant is above a Lipnik but below a Nooremleitnant, in authority.
- Kapral - ("Levy") - standard soldier rank - most commoners don't aspire nor achieve higher.
- Reamees - ("Recruit") - a rank used for cadets - those receiving military education for their service, whom have not yet completed their training. This rank is the same for all whom have not yet finished education, be they enlisted or aspiring officers.
