Uselix and Cuzau are known to have both close kinship and something of a friendly rivalry - Uselix depends upon Cuzau for the large amounts of steel and other metals their craftsman need, but they often go back and forth about which of the two is more important for Barovia.
Owing to the Mint, Cuzau is the only place smaller than a city that has both a municipal Watch, and a Garda. Above even this, a detachment of soldiers from the Order of the Ebon Gargoyle are the security for the Mint.
